What Information We Collect; the Purpose of Collection and Use
We collect the following categories of information.
Contact Information: We collect contact information on our Website from visitors, customers, and distributors, as applicable, who wish to obtain information or support, purchase or register our Products, or access specific account information. Contact information is provided via browser forms or online order forms, and includes first name, last name, e-mail address, mailing address (including country, city, state, zip code), and phone numbers (fax, cell and/or landline) (collectively, “Contact Information”), technical requirements, and other information necessary for us to properly respond.
This contact information is used by our sales, support, and product teams to contact our Website visitors, customers, distributors, and agents, as appropriate, so that we can provide the requested information, support, or products. We may also ask you to voluntarily provide us with information for market research, such as your interests, demographics, and experience with our products.
We collect contact information on our Website from shipping, transport, freight forwarding, and other logistics companies, distributors and channel partners, and "ship to" information for the products. This contact information is used by our shipping and transportation teams to fulfill product orders and schedule deliveries.
Billing Information: We collect billing and payment information which may include a purchase order number, an account number, or instructions for wire transfer and/or ACH transfers, credit card number, expiration date, billing zip code, activation code and/or similar information. When payment is made by credit card, we use third party credit card processors. The billing and payment information is used to prepare and send invoices, make and receive payments, establish and manage accounts.
Resume Information: We may collect information including your name, address email address and phone number when you use our Website to apply for a position at Bel Fuse or to join our talent network in order to be informed when job opportunities become available. This information may be stored on a cloud server provided by Career Builder so that we may contact you as requested.

CUI website uses the ECIA inventory API to provide distributor stock information. The API records end user’s IP addresses for the purposes of information security and to prevent fraudulent use. The IP address is stored by ECIA for 13 months before it is permanently deleted.
We may use MS products to create a unique session ID for you (that expires at the end of your session), which captures the language, currency and culture associated with your session, and/or a unique user ID that is associated with your user login name.
CUI uses MailChimp, an email service provider, to send promotional emails that inform subscribers of company news, events, new products and helpful resources. MailChimp may record a user’s email address, name, company, phone number, IP address, email behaviors (i.e., email opens, link clicks, etc.), and other data to ensure CUI’s emails are relevant, timely and useful to subscribers. for a list of details tracked by MailChimp. Users can unsubscribe from receiving further promotional emails or update email marketing preferences at any time using the links provided at the bottom of each email. If a user desires to be deleted from CUI’s email marketing database in MailChimp, the user should email email@example.com requesting all data to be removed.
Cookies: Cookies are small packets of data that a website stores on your computer's hard drive for the functioning of the Website and as described under "Third Party Analytics Providers" above. You may be able to block all cookies through your browser or device (please consult your device or browser’s documentation on how to do this) and/or, in the case of applicable third party analytics providers, use an opt-out mechanism made available by such analytics providers. How We Share Your Information
Disclosure to Public Authorities: We are required to disclose personal information in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including for the purpose of meeting national security or law enforcement requirements. You may also manage your receipt of marketing and non-transactional communications by clicking on the "Unsubscribe" link located on the bottom of any Bel Fuse marketing email and following the instructions found on the page to which the link takes you. You cannot opt out of receiving transactional e-mails related to your account or purchase orders. Please allow a reasonable time to process your request.
Important Notice to All Non-US Residents: Our servers are located in the US. If you are located outside of the US, please be aware that any information provided to us, including personal information, will be transferred from your country of origin to the US. Except in the case of data transfers under the EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shield Framework, your decision to provide such data to us, or allow us to collect such data through our Website constitutes your consent to this data transfer.
With respect to personal data received or transferred pursuant to the Privacy Shield Frameworks, Bel Fuse is subject to the regulatory enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission.
Pursuant to the Privacy Shield Frameworks, EU, UK, and Swiss individuals have the right to obtain our confirmation of whether we maintain personal information relating to you in the United States. Upon request, we will provide you with access to the personal information that we hold about you. Upon request, we will delete your personal information that we hold about you only if it is in violation of the Privacy Shield Principles. An individual who seeks access, or who seeks to correct, amend, or delete inaccurate data transferred to the United States under Privacy Shield, should contact us at Privacy@belf.com, with the subject line, “Privacy Shield.”. If requested to remove data, we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
We will also provide an individual opt-out or opt-in choice before we share your data with third parties other than our agents, or before we use it for a purpose other than which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized. To request to limit the use and disclosure of your personal information, please submit a written request to Privacy@belf.com.
Bel Fuse’s accountability for personal data that it receives in the United States under the Privacy Shield and subsequently transfers to a third party is described in the Privacy Shield Principles. In particular, Bel Fuse remains responsible and liable under the Privacy Shield Principles if third-party agents that it engages to process the personal data on its behalf do so in a manner inconsistent with the Principles, unless Bel Fuse proves that it is not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.
In compliance with the Privacy Shield Principles, Bel Fuse commits to resolve complaints about your privacy and our collection or use of your personal information transferred to the United States pursuant to Privacy Shield. European Union, the United Kingdom, and Swiss individuals with Privacy Shield inquiries or complaints should first contact Bel Fuse at Privacy@belf.com with the subject line, “Privacy Shield.”
Bel Fuse has further committed to refer unresolved privacy complaints under the Privacy Shield Principles to an independent dispute resolution mechanism, the BBB EU PRIVACY SHIELD. If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your complaint, or if your complaint is not satisfactorily addressed, please visit https://bbbprograms.org/privacy-shield-complaints/ for more information and to file a complaint. This service is provided free of charge to you.
If your Privacy Shield complaint cannot be resolved through the above channels, under certain conditions, you may invoke binding arbitration for some residual claims not resolved by other redress mechanisms.
